Goodness and all that is holy
I’ve been going through quite the ordeal and whirlwind now that 2008 has reared its ugly head. Like I had earlier in the month, I’ll have some snippets of conversations and things I’ve shared with the people inside my head computer so I can share with you too the crazy that is my life.
I’ll catch you up in a short sentence so that the rest of my entry makes a little more sense: we moved back to the old house.
We got a new phone number now that we’re back in the old house and I wanted to get my old login back so I didn’t have to change the email on every single account I have created ever. In the course of doing so they realized that while my old phone service had been disconnected, the DSL had not. In order for them to migrate my old login to my new phone number they had to disconnect my old DSL (and refund me for the few weeks they had charged me for). The rep told me to try tonight to see if the cancellation had taken effect but if it hadn’t I’d have to wait until Monday. The computer told her Monday but we thought I’d give it the old college try anyhow. I can log on with my old login it seems but it’s still registered under my old phone number. Sigh. Baby steps. Baby steps.
I’m going to leave it at that for now. Once I find all the wonderful stories I’ve shared in other places, I’ll have plenty to write about and comment on. If after that you don’t turn off your monitor and shake your head in disbelief, I’ll have to surmise that you too have dysfunction of enormous proportions in your family as well.
P.S. Today’s image has nothing to do with the post but I thought it was hilarious.
