Silence

It really is golden, isn’t it? I’m sitting here enjoying some this very minute. Even the dishwasher that was churning away just a minute ago has come upon its drying cycle. Jeff and the kids went to the Knights of Columbus hall my in-laws belong to for their annual kid’s Halloween party. I hope they have fun! They look forward to this every year and Gracie is lucky to make it since she was home sick for half the week this week. I do need combat pay for listening to them ask about it every.freakin’.minute. but now it’s quiet.

My shades are up and I can see the rain and the wind blowing the trees around. Many hate rainy days but I don’t. I find they have character. Sunny days are cliche whereas rainy days have something real to say. They command your attention and respect. They invite you to look at what is happening because it can be unpredictable and very interesting. Sunny days you take for granted because sunny is sunny; it doesn’t really change. Maybe the clouds are whispier than a few minutes before but if you think about it, they really are boring. You have to actively find something to pass the time. Rainy days offer you entertainment and suspense. Rainy days take the pressure off to be outside and “make the most of it.” No worries about the weeding that needs doing or cleaning out the garage. In other words, I like ‘em.

I haven’t been posting much this week. Well, nothing I have to put much thought into. I’ve not been feeling up to it and just meh in general.

Okay, it’s almost bed time and this is the first I’ve been able to return to writing anything. I’ve been both busy and feeling horrible. I won’t get into details and for that you are thankful. Trust me. Whatever Gracie had has passed to me I think. I’m nauseous all of a sudden and I’ve been exhausted all day. Boo hoo. Grab a tissue, dammit! It’s SAD! Geeze, can you at least feel a little bad for me? Do you have to be a heartless bastard?!?! Well, your loss because my plans for updating about events of the week will have to wait yet again. I don’t want to soil the keyboard. Blech.Stupid Internet

P.S. If you’ve emailed me this week or if you were waiting for an email and never received it, it could be because my mail server was down without a clue to me. Ameritech/ATT/SBC/Whaterthefucktheyarethesedays was up and down and because I continued to get my gmail into my email client and the Internet didn’t go away, I didn’t notice the other one. A friend called me asking about an email and after some investigation, I was oh-so-pleased to make this discovery. So, there you go.
