Mold, coffee and a day of rest
I’m more than glad to have had today as a day of rest. No, Tuesdays aren’t usually known for that but I decided since I had to take Iz to gymnastics this morning and Gracie to gymnastics in the afternoon, I wasn’t going to head to the other house today. It would be too hard to tackle the mold and then have to clean up shortly afterward to run and pick the kids up. I’m going to have to figure out how to work around the kids’ schedules and get something done without Jeff there because I also can’t wait two weeks until Jeff is off again. I may have to work nights or make sure that I get to my mom’s first thing in the morning and get right to work because I’ll have to shower and be ready to leave in time to pick the kids up from school. Oy. So many hectic but boring details in my life to figure out. I honestly don’t want to go tomorrow either but we’ll see. Maybe I’ll just go and pick up some of the totes so I can start packing downstairs. Starting Thursday the air is cooling off a bit and it will make it more pleasant to work with the windows open and some decent ventilation.
Jen and Bob sent me some coffee a couple of weeks ago to cheer me up with all that’s been going on and I was finally able to break into it today (don’t tell Bob — he’ll kill me for keeping coffee around that long). Lord, if you ever order from Intelligentsia Coffee, try the La Perla. It is so good. It should be called La Perfecta (har har har)! I made an extra pot today because it was that delicious. It was meant to make me feel better and it’s really doing its job. Yum! Thanks again, guys. It’s so appreciated.
And speaking of Jen and Bob, I’m excited to get to see them again soon! The Audrey Woulard workshop I’m attending in Chicago is coming up in about two and a half weeks and it will be great to see Jen and Bob and the kids. I’m renting a couple of lenses from LensProToGo (their owner Paul Friedman? A peach!) and I want to take some shots of the kids, especially David. I need to submit my prints to SKPA to finish getting my certification and for the website and advertising. I’m slowly working on a book project so Jen will be a model for me as well. So many photo-ops I hope to get while I’m there! My plan is to get there at a decent time on Sunday since most of my time will be taken up with the workshop otherwise. And their house? Such wonderful light. That’s one great thing about the new house — a huge north-facing window. Man, I’m getting so excited just writing about it.
I’m curious to see how the lenses work out. One is a lot of cash so I want to test drive it and see if it helps with some shake I have from a couple different medical conditions and meds. It’s very frustrating dealing with this now because it wasn’t an issue a few years back. It affects the quality of the work and it’s been bothering me a lot — so much so that I haven’t been doing much because of it. Yes, I’ve been crazy busy and yes, I’ve been depressed and stressed but part of my pause is the shake and I’ve tried not to think about it much. Well, I can not think about it as much as I’d like but it’s still there and it bothers me a lot. So, if I can find a solution for my problem, there you go. Fingers crossed (no pun intended).

The pun “was” totally intended. As were my unnecessary quotation marks.
