How do you get through the day?
This is what the doctor asked me on the phone today after calling about some test results. When I went to the see the doctor about my foot I also had her write me a refill on my thyroid meds. Since I hadn’t had bloodwork since January, she wrote a slip and I had the blood drawn at the lab in the office. The results came back today and it seems my TSH is, well, 125. I’m normally at 1-2. I hadn’t taken it in maybe a week, two tops, so normally you wouldn’t see that kind of number under that short amount of time. She laughed and said there’s no doubt I need the med in case I ever wondered if it was really necessary. That cracked me up. She told me that with a number like that she’s surprised I can get through the day and I laughed and said I do it because I have to. Otherwise, I have no idea either.
Oh, and my foot? Heel spur. I’ll have to google it because I’m not exactly sure what that means. The pain is why she put me on the anti-inflammatory but that stuff is making me sick. Blech. Oh well.
