I have better friends than you! Neener neener!

You know, it’s times like these when you see what good friends you have. No, I’m not dying or losing my home but Iain’s education (and the girls’, too, of course) is important and I take it very seriously.

My friend Kelly read my blog entry yesterday and she was in a similar situation where she was living outside of the city (she now lives here) and took advantage of the School of Choice program. If I recall correctly, her daughter was in a special education program at the time so this is good news. They told her that once she’s enrolled in the program they were in for the duration. Of course I’ll have to check but knowing that is comforting and in thinking about it, I think it’s still that way. Iain has a friend in school who is out of the city and they’ve continued with no problems so as of right now I’m putting this in the “Not Going to Worry About It” column until I learn otherwise.

She probably thinks she didn’t do much more than pass along some information but right now it makes all the difference in the world to me. I have the best, most supportive friends ever.
