She’s sleeping (or trying to) on my couch right now. She called me about two hours ago to tell me that the bleeding started up again. She didn’t know what to do so I suggested pinching it for about 10-15 minutes to try and stop it. For whatever reason this is hard for her to comprehend since my uncle told her that the bleeding is good and that it’s good to relieve the pressure. My aunt is a doctor and I’m not sure if she told him this or if he is a typical man and has twisted around what he thought she told him but in any event it’s crazy advice. I could blog for hours about the Hungarian folklore and medical myths she’s been infused with all these years.
Anyhow, since it stopped she asked if she could crash here on my couch rather than going to the hospital. She’s scared to be alone with this going on and it’s understandable. She slept about an hour last night so she’s exhausted. Hopefully she’ll relax enough to get some sleep and feel better tomorrow.
I got all of two hours with the mask last night so I’m pretty tired myself. Off to see if I can get some rest too. I’m fuzz-headed so if this made no sense don’t hold it against me.
