Inspiration in unusual places
Lately I’ve been finding inspiration from places other than those I’ve frequented in the past. While I still catch Audrey Woulard’s blog (and still love her work), I’m finding inspiration at different sites of photographers like Jesh de Rox, Jessica Claire and Anna Kuperberg. What’s interesting about that? They are all wedding photographers. I see emotion conveyed in a way that I don’t see in the photography of those who are trying to virtually cut and paste Audrey Woulard’s work for their own. Audrey is the master of her style; Barb Uil (aka Jinky Art) is the master of her style. I need to see something fresh away from the over-saturation of those trying to copy them and I’m finding it here.
I’m also in love with the work of Cassie Fox. I tell you, if I were going to try and duplicate someone’s work, it would be hers. It doesn’t hurt to have a gorgeous son and being someone striking enough to do self portraits. I think she’s gorgeous. But don’t try and copy her; be inspired and create your own style!
