I’m an idiot who is going to hell
I hadn’t heard anything from the builder about my revisions so I thought I’d email him to see what was up (not that I’ve been in any hurry to do anything for reasons I’ve discussed before). I went back through my Sent folder to find the email I sent him at the beginning of the month and forward it to him just in case something got screwed up with the email. I know he read the original email because I got a read receipt from him.
The email scrolled onto my screen and I went to forward it when I suddenly noticed there was no paperclip icon next to it. Son.of.a.bitch. He never got the attachment! No wonder I’ve been getting the “I hate this client I hate this client I hate this client” vibe (even though we’ve barely spoken). I sent him this email without an attachment so he’s been hanging and all the while I thought he had the revisions. Um, duh. What makes it worse is that I had, minutes before, forwarded my revisions to a couple of friends to take a look at. They got the plans but when I sent him the email I neglected to send them also to him.
We’ve covered why I’m an idiot so you might be asking why I’m going to hell (well, why I think I’m going this time). I told a slight fib and said that I had indeed sent the attachment last time but was re-sending to make sure he got it since he hadn’t replied. He had said something about server problems (although, now that I think about it I think I’m doubly an idiot because he may have been referring to the company whose website I was trying to access and not he himself) so I wanted to make sure it got there.
I could just punch myself. Instead I’ll finish this cup of coffee, drying my hair and then head to bed. Feel free to mock my idiocy by sending me money. Lots and lots of money. I promise it will make me smarter.
