27 pounds
Twenty-seven pounds is what I have lost since mid-February. That’s equivalent to what, a toddler? If you cut a toddler’s worth of mass off of your body, would someone notice? Apparently not if you know me. How can you not notice? Or, if you’ve noticed, why are you afraid to ask me if I’ve lost weight? Yes, dammit! I’ve lost weight! Jealous bitches.
One good thing about this is I’ve gained part of my wardrobe back and also decided to get a couple of things with the 50% off coupon I nabbed off Slickdeals. I did need some tops and shorts because they were, ahem, getting too big. People, I was growing out of my fat jeans. I know people have worse problems but I’m self-absorbed and don’t give a shit. My ass is getting smaller!
Speaking of clothing purchases, I bought clothes for the kids. Jesus. I went to Target and bought basics to mix and match (the girls are basically, minus pant length, sharing clothes. Sharing. Yes, one is going to be six and the other is three.) and could not believe how much it cost. The thing is, the rats need it.
Iain is getting bigger (don’t discuss this with me–my baby is closer to 10 than birth) and the girls need clothes because obviously neither fits into the old things and at this point there’s not really anything known as a hand-me-down in this house. Gracie can still wear 4T shorts but both fit a little better into 5Ts. They’ll wear those 4Ts until the bitter end, though. I buy Gracie larger shirts (6x and she won’t be lunging out of that any time soon) because I have this thing about kids looking like they don’t own clothes that fit or like they are being trained to be NFL cheerleaders but basically she can wear her baby sister’s clothing. Unreal. And Iain doesn’t have anyone he’s getting clothes from or handing them down to so he’s a loss-leader. Damn kids better appreciate me when I’m old.
